Admissions
Greenhill Primary participates in the Local Authority’s Co-ordinated Admission Scheme for in-year admissions. If a parent of a child on our roll wishes to apply for a transfer to another school, they must obtain a transfer form from the school for completion of Section 2. The application must then be sent to the Local Authority which will process the application on the parent’s behalf. The Local Authority will confirm the outcome of the application in writing within 15 school days. If the application is refused, the Local Authority will advise on the statutory appeal procedure.
Families New to the City
For families that are new to the City, they should contact the Children Missing Education Team at ed-missingchildren@sheffield.gov.uk or 0114 273 6462 to arrange an appointment to make an admission application.

Afterschool Activities
At Greenhill Primary we are proud of the extracurricular clubs provision we can offer our families. We have a range of after school activities that are on offer to our children. All of the activities we offer support children to become more resilient, inclusive and aspirational in line with our school values.
After school activities change each half term and children are given the opportunity to sign up to the clubs that they would like to be part of. At Greenhill Primary we aim to provide a diverse range of clubs and activities, some of the opportunities are provided by teachers and other members of staff, some external providers such as Samba Sports, PerformX and Harmony Music.

Attendance
We focus on rewarding pupils for their attendance and punctuality.
OTIS Money – Classes in school earn OTIS money each week that they beat the whole school attendance target (94%). They also earn OTIS money for ‘beating the bell’ (being on time everyday)!
Classes receive their OTIS money as part of our celebration assembly each Friday. The money can be spent on rewards from our OTIS catalogue, which they vote for as a class, they can even invite OTIS the Ostrich to come along and join them!
FROGS
(Friends of Greenhill School)
FROGS are a group of parent volunteers who work with the school to organise events and fundraisers for the children and community of Greenhill to participate in and enjoy, whilst raising funds to improve the whole school experience for all children.
In essence FROGS is the schools’ Parents Association, but in reality they are so much more. The Committee and all the volunteers who assist them give their time to organise traditional school discos, Christmas Fayres, Mother’s day and Father’s day stalls all within school. They also organise a huge Summer Fayre and Car Boot Sales for the whole community.
FROGS forge and maintain links with lots of local and regional businesses who support them in their mission to raise funds for the benefit of the children of Greenhill.

Payment To Schools
If you would like to pay for school dinners, milk, trips, breakfast and after school club etc, we are now using the new Parent Pay service.

School Calendar
School Opening Hours
Nursery: 8.30am – 3:15pm
Reception: 8.30am – 3.00pm
Y1-Y2: 8.30am – 3.00pm
Y3-Y6: 8.35am – 3.10pm
Total amount of time in a typical week: 32.5 hours
School Meals
Our school meals are prepared fresh daily on site, by our fantastic in-house Catering Team. All children in EYFS and KS1 (Reception, Y1 and Y2) are all entitled to free school meals through the Universal Infant Free School Meal agenda.
For children in KS2 (Y3 through to Y6) a school lunch costs £2.30 per day, unless your child is entitled to Free School Meals. All meals are paid for on ParentPay.
School meals are served on a 3 week menu cycle.
Currently all children attending school are eating the Dining hall with their designated learning groups. All food in the dining room is served on a tray, children can choose between seasonal vegetables or salad, as well as fruit and a cake/biscuit for dessert. Fresh drinking water is always available for all children.
School Uniform
Please ensure all items are labelled with your child’s full name. This will help us return any missing items to you. For ease of labelling you could try pre-printed stick in name labels.
Dress Code
We have a school uniform and we would be very grateful if all parents would support this and ensure that pupils comply with every aspect of the uniform.
Uniform can be ordered online from Logo Leisurewear or School Trends and you can chose for your items to be delivered to your house or to school.
